Conflicts - What are the major problems? Why are they problems?
Hi my name is Chesney. The conflicts in this book are that the character wants to go fight in the war. Also that there is a war. These are problems because the characters mother does not want him to go to war.

Hi it's Casey! I think that the problem in this book is that Henry does not expect war to be as cruel or at sometimes boring as it really is. He is upset at how slow the group is moving and can't wait to fight. But he is supprised at all the actuall horrors of war.

This is Chesney(: I agree with the problems your are talking about . I also think that Henry didn't expect war to be as cruel as it really is.

Helloooo......It's Chesney again!A conflict in this book is man vs. society. There is war going on and there is conflict going on within the society. There is conflict with slavery. There is also the conflict of man vs. man. This is because when Henry runs away he gets shot in the head by another soldier.

Hi, it's Casey and i think that the word conflict means a struggle between 2 opposing sides. it isn't a good thing. I also believe that internal conflict means a conflict in which a man finds that he is the only one that can solve it, for example, man vs. self. in the story Henry faces internal conflict when his friend the " Tall Soldier" dies. He almost loses control when he finally experiences the true horrors of war first hand. I think that by finally understanding the purpose of war and how he can push himself to do amazing things, Henry finally resolves his internal conflict. I believe that throughout the book Henry has proven himself worthy of all the following tittles, Brave, Open-hearted, and Courageous.
